Google Plus upping their game

Google Plus is clearly upping its game, with the release of ‘personal’ URLS.

Still convinced that Google Plus is a ghost town? Think again, because a week ago a product manager for the social media channel announced that the social media channel will be offering personal URLs.

Some of those with a verified account already have custom URL’s however; the latest announcement increases the value of Google Plus tremendously.

In addition to making big brand interests rethink their criticism of this 250million user strong social media channel, it should finally end the on-going debate of whether or not Google Plus is a ghost town.

Saurabh Sharma who announced the rolling out of custom URLs said:

“At first, we’re introducing custom URLs to a limited number of verified profiles and pages, but over time we plan to offer custom URLs to many more brands and individuals”.

It is clear that the search and information giant isn’t exactly rushing on brands’ behalf, remember that other major social media channels also offer personal URLs but with Google Plus announcing theirs it is clear that they are bringing out the big guns.

A definite must if you are looking to control whom you are talking to and want to have whilst hanging out, join us.

Happy Google+ing!
