Not using Slideshare for content marketing? You should be!

Content marketing is critical for any business, but even more so for B2B. Just because you’re selling to business, it doesn’t mean that visual marketing isn’t important – you’re still selling to people!

B2B Marketing

Content marketing can be anything from blogs, whitepapers, case studies, videos and webinars BUT people always seem to brush over presentations.

“Death by PowerPoint?” I hear you ask, but presentations are an excellent way to break through the clutter and tell your story whilst presenting your data visually, linking it back to relevant pages on your website and focus on your key points.

This is especially important when reportedly 30% of people interviewed say they strongly use visual spatial thinking, and 45% say they use visual/spatial thinking and thinking in the form of words.

So, why Slideshare?

  • 2.9 million unique visitors per month
  • 21 million registered users
  • 1 million slides viewed monthly
  • Traffic from business owners = 3 x more than other social media sites
  • 40% more traffic from C-Level executives than Linkedin
  • Custom branded channels

Here at SMPR we have found Slideshare extremely useful for not only our own content like case studies and webinars but our clients’ content too. Through optimising and posting our clients’ case studies and presentations onto Slideshare, the majority of them have managed to accumulate over 200 views.  As well as the large amount of views, through the ability to link Slideshare presentations through to the company blogs and websites, Slideshare has become one of the top referring sites.
